The OptiCut S 90 Superdrill stands out due to its unique combination with a drilling and milling unit. The unit of the S 90 series is mainly used in the packaging industry, wood construction and, due to its high precision of up to +/- 0.1 mm, also increasingly in the plastics industry.
In the S 90 XL version, nominal cross sections between 280 x 180 mm and 400 x 40 mm can be drilled, milled or cut with a weight of up to 150 kg. Additional options from the S 90 series, such as automatic cross chain feeding and sorting, optimization or workpiece marking, can also be combined as required with this expansion option.
In the machine, the drilling and milling unit is located upstream of the sawing unit. The positioning of the aggregate is servo-controlled in the workpiece width (y-axis) and workpiece height (z-axis) directions. In the longitudinal direction of the workpiece (x-axis), conveying is carried out with the positioning pusher of the cross-cut saw. Optionally, an additional axis can be added for machining in the longitudinal axis direction of the workpiece. For machining, the workpiece is clamped by means of two laterally arranged pressure devices.
To increase the machining quality even further, we install an HSK 63 F collet chuck. This allows the tools to be picked up quickly and precisely, resulting in minimal setup times and ensuring a perfect fit of the tools.
The unit can also be equipped with an automatic tool changer. This option enables time-saving machining of the workpieces with up to 3 different tools additionally and offers a high degree of flexibility for changing machining steps.
